My Mother's Leadership Lessons

It seems like the world is starving for leadership. There are countless books, seminars, and systems proclaiming the secret to leadership. In the workplace we are sometimes disappointed with our supervisors when they play small or fail to inspire. In my quest for leadership, I finally realized I was raised by one.

Best Boss Ever

I believe there is one indicator that clearly shows who is an amazing leader. I know, pretty brassy of me, right? Before you stop reading because you think I am too big for my britches, aren't you curious of what it is?

Those electronic files are SO lit!

Those electronic personnel files are so lit! Say what? You know, they are dope! We know what you are thinking - HUH?! Well, according to our millennial generation colleagues "lit" and "dope" are today's version of "cool," "groovy," or "awesome." Which leads us to the question - why would you ever want to move to electronic personnel files?

Less is More?

There is something magical about working on a highly effective, small team that keeps ideas flowing and work exhilarating. I believe this is because they have a higher level of accountability, ownership, and trust in each other.
